Why test a late-season application?

As maize approaches tasselling, its demand for nitrogen reaches a critical stage. Conventional systems commonly apply most nitrogen before drilling or earlier in the season.

Agro-Vital UK is trialling a late-season foliar application of Efficient28, a polymer urea fertiliser, to examine how nitrogen might be supplied at this stage without taking land-based application machinery through the standing crop.

Aero-Crop Solutions delivered the application

Aero-Crop Solutions carried out the spray-drone application near Wrexham. Iurii Adam is a Director of both Aero-Crop Solutions and Tropos Analytics.

The operating organisation and its pilots retain responsibility for the safe, legal and competent conduct of the flight. Tropos does not present use of its platform as transferring that responsibility or conferring operational approval.

Iurii uses the Tropos platform to record operational and trial evidence from the work. The record can connect the requirement, site context, application activity and supporting evidence without turning an observation into an unsupported outcome claim.

This practical experience informs AgriSense™ development. The agronomic trial remains an Agro-Vital UK trial and is not presented as owned by Tropos.
